Buy Bunnahabhain OnlineIn 1881, William and James Greenless built the distillery in a remote cove at the confluence of the River Margadale with the Sound of Islay. This was the perfect site as it had plentiful supplies of peat and clear water. Local stone was used for the distillery buildings. The water used for the distillery rises through limestone and is piped to it, and because of this no peat is collected on the way. The stills are large and onion shaped. Bunnahabhain is the most lightly peated of all the Islay malts with a delicate flavour. The distillery also offers accommodation, where visitors can rent a cottage and lap up the scenery and atmosphere.
We are fortunate to hold an extensive range of Islay single malts including Bunnahabhain 12 year old, Bunnahabhain 16 Year Old - Manzanilla, Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old, Bunnahabhain 1968 Celtic Heartlands, Bunnahabhain 1976 Celtic Heartlands, Bunnahabhain 1991 MacPhail's Collection, Bunnahabhain 25 Year Old, Bunnahabhain 36 Year Old, Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old (1968) Peerless and the Bunnahabhain Tioteach.
